If you have a desire to help make a difference, Rides 4 Refugees wants you!  As we continue to grow, we are looking for volunteers in the following areas. To learn more about job scope and time commitment, contact us through the link below.

Driver Training Support:  Using your own vehicle, train a refugee client to drive and obtain their driver's license.  This requires multiple sessions and close communication with the client for scheduling. You will be reimbursed for mileage, but not your time.

Vehicle Purchase Support:  Help a refugee client who has their driver's license and is ready to buy a reliable used vehicle, to visit dealerships, test drive, and support the purchase. Mileage reimbursed.

Shuttle Driver:  Shuttle refugee clients to the BMV, dealerships, or training classes. Will need to pick-up from their home or designated location and drop off at the destination, and also be able to wait for the return trip.  Mileage reimbursed.

Training / Manual Writing:  Work with other members to put together a vehicle ownership class. Collect information into a format that is easy to read, including diagrams. Create and maintain manuals and other operations documentation.

HR Support: Facilitate meetings - inviting attendees, negotiating times & locations and summarizing the meeting result.  Maintain the team business calendar.  Update the HR policy handbook and create related forms. Monitor website in-box and inform team members.  Maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Various Support Opportunities:  Support fundraising, training events, grant writing, non-profit tax knowledge, website maintenance, graphic design, etc. depending on interests and skills.
